Ryu Godai

The older brother of Draken’s children. Ryu Godai was originally, well... I wanted to make Ryu from Street Fighter a Dragon Ball OC because 12 year old me just did not give a crap. Put it all in there. Over time Ryu evolved into an ardent student of traditional karate like his father’s Uechi-Ryu as well as other traditional styles like Goju-Ryu. He’s supposed to be the one that represents the traditional side of martial arts among his family. Ryu also married and had two children. His wife is Jamira and he has fraternal twins Alyssa and Sheldon as his children. Going back to Mas Oyama Ryu’s pose here is using Yoshiji Soeno as a reference. Yoshiji was a student of Oyama and the inspiration for Street Fighter’s Ryu.
